Copper & Candles
Materials: copper wire, rock, gems, mirror, glue
I love how she shimmies in the wind.
Copper wire art and candles is a spontaneous expression of color and form. This art evolved from an abundance of Oui yogurt glass jars. I went through a yogurt phase and built up a stock of the wonderful glass jars that make perfect tea light votives. They are fun to paint and look amazing with bees wax tea lights glowing bright within them. The copper wire was used as part of the crystal creations, and then began to manifest as mermaids on clam shells. Other personas began popping out, and the ideas are growing. I enjoy this style of creativity, and I'm excited to see what the next project will be!
